This kid who sits in front of me at a Junior States of America conference when I was in high school said something racist.
I was minding my own business.
This stupid kid says, "What's your nationality?"
Me: American
This stupid kid says, "But you know What's your nationality?"
Me: I'm an United States Citizen. I am an American.
This stupid kid says, "But what is...your nationality?"
Me: I'm a Citizen of the United States of America. I am American.
This stupid kid says, "oh".
By the look on his stupid little face, he obviously didn't get the answer he wanted. He probably assumed this guy looks Chinese , so he must be Chinese. It is true that my heritage is Chinese. He just didn't phrase the question in the right way. I wanted him to learn that lesson.
